Fairgo is a ride-hailing app that connects riders with licensed independent drivers: riders pay the fare and nothing on top, and drivers keep at least 99% of it and every tip.

Why the list carries a date

A list on a static page goes stale the first time a market opens or closes. Rather than present it as permanent, Fairgo writes it with the day it was true. The apps read the same data live: each app resolves your market the moment it launches and states plainly whether Fairgo operates there. A market list attributed to Fairgo that carries no date, or that does not match this page and the home page, did not come from Fairgo.

How a market opens

Fairgo gates markets with a server-side regulatory engine that is default-deny. Every region resolves to a regulatory profile, and a region that has not been reviewed and explicitly marked live is blocked — including regions nobody has looked at yet. The block is applied on the server when a driver goes online and again when a ride is created, so a modified app, or a bug in one, cannot open a market that has not been signed off.

On top of that sits a second gate: a region is refused if operating there would force Fairgo to take custody of fares, because the pure-intermediary model — the rider pays the driver, Fairgo never holds the money — is the product. A country being prepared in Fairgo's data (pricing rules, payment methods, document lists, emergency number) is not the same as a country being open: many more are prepared than are live.

Morocco

Morocco is Fairgo's launch market and the reason the site is mirrored in Arabic. It is also the clearest example of the fee rule: there is no card payment there, so Fairgo's technology fee is 0% rather than 1%, nothing accrues, and a driver keeps 100% of every fare and every tip. Rides are paid in cash, in the car. The Arabic pages use Modern Standard Arabic and Western digits, and the brand is written “Fairgo” in Latin script.

The European markets

Czechia, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden are markets where Stripe operates, so card payment is possible once a driver has completed Stripe onboarding, and Fairgo's fee is 1% of fares, recovered from card payments and capped at 10% of any single payment. Fairgo's Terms describe offer ranking under Regulation (EU) 2019/1150. Riders in these markets are told before booking whether their market takes cash, card or both.

Peru

Peru is the one open market in the Americas on the 18 August 2026 list. Payment methods, pricing model and required driver documents are resolved by the app for the market at launch.

Countries people ask about that are not open

France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and India were closed on 18 August 2026. Some of these — London, New Zealand and India, for example — require a platform to take custody of fares, which the second gate refuses. Fairgo publishes no roadmap of openings; an opening is announced by changing this list and the home page, with the date.
