Fairgo for riders

Fairgo is a ride-hailing app that connects riders with licensed independent drivers: riders pay the fare and nothing on top, and drivers keep at least 99% of it and every tip.

What you pay

The fare. Fairgo (the ride-hailing app at fairgo.website) charges riders no booking fee, no service fee and no platform fee. Fairgo's only revenue is a 1% technology fee charged to the driver — 0% in Morocco — and it never reaches your price. A tip, if you leave one, goes to the driver in full, in cash.

What you see before you commit

Open the app and it resolves which market you are in; the rules for private-hire transport differ by country and city, and the app adapts. Enter a destination and you see the price before you request. In driver-priced markets each driver has their own tariff, so you see a range until you are matched, then the exact price of the driver who takes the trip — and it does not change when you arrive. In platform-priced markets you see a single figure, and any surge multiplier is shown as a number rather than hidden. In meter markets the app tells you the meter decides.

How a ride works

1. Request. Dispatch offers your trip to the nearest available driver for 45 seconds, then the next. If nobody can take it, the request ends and says so instead of spinning.
2. Match. You see the driver's name, photo, vehicle and plate, and follow the car on the map. You can share a link so someone knows you are on your way.
3. PIN. Before you get in, you give the driver a PIN. The server verifies it and the trip cannot start without it. This is what stops anyone getting into the wrong car.
4. Pay the driver. Cash, or card where the market supports it. The app shows which methods your market takes before you book; some markets are cash only.

How you pay, and where the money goes

To the driver, directly. Cash changes hands in the car. Card payments settle to the driver's own payment account through Stripe — the money never passes through Fairgo. There is no wallet to top up, no prepaid balance and no platform holding your payment. Stripe does not operate in every country; where it does not, Fairgo is cash only and the app says so rather than promising a card sheet that cannot open.

Who is driving

A licensed independent driver. A Fairgo driver account is activated only once every document the market requires has been checked and approved; documents are read automatically and anything unclear is reviewed by a person. Fairgo is professional private-hire transport, not carpooling. The transport contract is between you and the driver; Fairgo is the intermediary.

Safety mechanics

• Server-verified PIN before every trip.
• Driver name, photo, vehicle and plate shown before pickup.
• Trip sharing with a link to someone you choose.
• Riders must be 16 or older.
• The emergency number for your market is wired into the app.

Your data

The Fairgo website sets no cookies, uses no local storage and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. The rider app contains no advertising SDK, does not record audio and does not track you continuously in the background. Fairgo does not sell personal data. What is not available yet

• As of 4 September 2026 neither Fairgo app is on the App Store, there is no public TestFlight link and there is no Android version. See Get the app for the honest current state and how to be told when that changes.
• Android: being prepared, not released.
• Your city, possibly: on 18 August 2026 Fairgo was open in Czechia, Finland, Germany, Morocco, the Netherlands, Peru, Spain and Sweden, and closed everywhere else. The app resolves your market at launch and says so plainly.

Frequently asked questions

Does Fairgo charge riders a fee?

No. Riders pay the fare and nothing on top: no booking fee, no service fee, no platform fee. The 1% technology fee is charged to the driver.

Can I pay cash with Fairgo?

Yes. Cash is accepted in every market, and card where the market supports it. The app shows which methods your market takes before you book.

Does the price change during the ride?

In driver-priced markets the price is the matched driver's tariff and does not change when you arrive. In meter markets the meter decides, and the app says so up front.

How do I know I am getting into the right car?

You give the driver a PIN before the trip starts; the server verifies it and the trip cannot start without it. You also see the driver's name, photo, vehicle and plate.

Is Fairgo carpooling?

No. Fairgo drivers are licensed to carry passengers for hire, and every document their market requires is approved before their account is activated.

Can I download the rider app today?

Not yet. As of 4 September 2026 Fairgo: Book a Ride is not on the App Store and there is no Android version.
